Janeth Arias

Ms. Arias handles employment matters including, wrongful termination, retaliation, unlawful discrimination & harassment due to race, gender, disability, or other protected category. Ms. Arias also handles matters involving Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury.

Ms. Arias received her Juris Doctorate degree from University of California Hastings, College of the Law. During her tenure at UC Hastings, she served as the Co-Chair of La Raza Law Students Association and Executive Articles Editor of the Hastings Race & Poverty Law Journal. Ms. Arias is an Alumni of the UC Hastings Civil Justice Clinic, where she represented low income individuals in Wage & Hour Litigation and Social Security Claims. Ms. Arias graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, with a public law concentration, and minor in Spanish, from the California State University of Long Beach.

Prior to forming Gutierrez, Blanco & Arias, Ms. Arias, worked at a prominent Workers’ Compensation Defense Firm where she represented self-insured employers, TPAs, and Insurance Companies in matters involving workers’ compensation. She also represented employers in Labor Code Section 132(a) discrimination claims.

Prior to Ms. Arias’ defense experience, she worked at a Los Angeles plaintiff’s litigation firm handling labor & employment and personal injury matters.

Ms. Arias is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the United States Central District of California. Ms. Arias is fluent in Spanish.
